General Terms
- AB Platform – A web application that allows organizers to manage participant registration and enables participants and teams to register for competitions, accessible at acebattle.run.
- Ace Battle Association (ABA) – The association that regulates the sport of Ace Battle.
- Ace Battle Games – Running races and competitions within Ace Battle.
- Ace Battle Ratings Team's Mile – A seasonal ranking competition.
- Ace Battle Run (ABR) – An ecosystem that includes the Ace Battle Mile sports discipline.
- Running communities – Groups of people united by a common goal of developing running.
Race Formats & Rules
- Ace Battle Mile – An international format of the Battle Mile Game.
- Battle Mile – A team-based running game over one mile.
- Competition regulations – The official document that sets the rules and conditions for a sporting event.
- Distance – The total course length of one mile.
- Final review – The concluding stage where results are confirmed and validated, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with established standards and rules.
- Force majeure – Unforeseeable circumstances, such as natural disasters, epidemics, or military actions, that make it impossible to conduct races.
- Relay (Leg) – A team competition where participants take turns covering specific segments of a distance, passing a relay item such as a baton or MACE.

Teams & Roles
- Ace – A participant in a team race playing the ACE role in a paired relay at the ACE stage.
- Captain – A team member officially appointed or elected as a leader, representing the team, coordinating players’ actions, communicating with referees and coaches, and motivating the group to achieve common goals.
- Club Manager – A specialist responsible for managing and coordinating the club's activities.
- Coach – A specialist who develops and implements training programs to improve athletes’ physical and technical skills, providing motivation and support to achieve sports goals.
- Joker – A participant in a team race playing the Joker role in a paired relay race at the Joker stage.
- Mile Runner – A participant running a one-mile distance.
- Player – A Runner who is a member of a ranking team, has an individual rating, and participates in AB games.
- Runner – A participant registered on the platform to take part in races.
- Sports club – An organized structure for sports activities, bringing together athletes and teams.
- Team Leader (TL) – An organizer responsible for coordinating teams and conducting ranking events, ensuring effective participant interaction and goal achievement.
- Team Leader Community – A group of participants brought together and coordinated by a Team Leader to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Team Managers – A specialist responsible for organizing, coordinating, and managing a sports team’s activities.
- Team roles – The roles of team runners (Team Runner, Ace, Joker) during a race.
Rankings & Scoring
- Automatic time adjustment system – An algorithm that adds 0.3 seconds to results obtained using manual timing to improve accuracy and account for potential measurement delays.
- Runner ranking – A system that assesses and ranks runners based on their competition results, considering factors such as time, distance, competition level, and performance consistency.
- Runner team ranking – A system determining each runner’s position and role within the team based on individual results, contributions to team achievements, experience, skills, consistency, and discipline.
- Team ranking – A ranking system that evaluates and ranks teams based on their performance and achievements in competitions, reflecting their relative strength and success.
Competition Rules & Technical Terms
- Final team composition for a race – The confirmed list of participants designated for an upcoming race.
- Joker’s Zone – A designated section of the track for relay baton exchange.
- Leg – A section of the course where a runner performs their role in a team race.
- Leg time – The time taken by a runner to complete a stage of the distance.
- Mace transfer area – The designated official track section where the relay baton is handed over from Ace to Joker.
- Marking – A system of signs on the running track that helps athletes navigate and follow competition rules, indicating the start, finish, and relay exchange zones.
- Relay baton (MACE) – An item used for passing from one team member (JOKER) to another (ACE) to maintain race continuity and follow competition rules.
Event & Platform-Related Terms
- Data upload procedure – The process of uploading results and video recordings to the AB Platform for further use and management.
- Insurance policy – A document confirming the participant’s insurance against accidents.
- Participant allocation – The pre-race stage where the final team composition is confirmed, and each participant’s role is assigned.
- Registration fee – A payment required to participate in an event, program, or access specific services on the AB Platform.
Team & Game Categories
- GAME ACE BATTLE MILE – International-level games featuring game teams, including different race types such as Individual Rating Mile, Team Rating Mile, and Battle Mile Game.
- GAME BATTLE MILE – National-level games where game teams participate.
- Game teams – Full teams of 11 members with a ranking, eligible to compete in Battle Mile and Ace Battle Mile Games.
- Ranking teams – Teams consisting of 7 to 12 participants eligible to compete in various ranking competitions, regardless of the number of participants, but with a minimum of 7.
